Art Deco Lamp, signed Limousin, Spelter Bird, Clichy Glass Globe, Rosso Verona Marble

Signed by Jacques Limousin, this French Art Deco lamp is an exceptional example of the sculptural lighting that defined the elegance and modernity of the Art Deco period. The composition features a stylised bird in flight, cast in dark patinated spelter and mounted on a substantial Rosso Verona marble base displaying beautiful natural veining.

The lamp is fitted with a mottled Verre de Clichy glass globe, prized for its distinctive dappled appearance and the soft atmospheric glow it produces when illuminated. The contrast between the rich red marble, dark patinated metal, and luminous glass creates a sophisticated interplay of materials that gives the piece both decorative presence and warmth.

Combining sculpture and function, the lamp works beautifully on a desk, console, side table, or within a curated Art Deco interior, where it serves equally well as an accent light and decorative object.

The lamp has been fitted with a new clear cable incorporating an inline switch for safe and convenient everyday use. It retains a B22 bayonet fitting.
